Palos Hills Remembers Resident Don White

Don White, a resident of Palos Hills, Veteran and a Local Historian of the Civil War and President Lincoln passed away on Friday, October 2. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 through 1963. Don White was very active in the Palos area having spoke at the City’s Veteran Day Ceremony, working at the Ace Hardware, writing as a columnist in The Reporter, and publishing several books on historical events.

Visitation will be on Monday, October 12 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm followed by services at Schmaedeke Funeral Home, 10701 S Harlem Avenue, Worth. Another viewing will be offered Tuesday, October 13 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Sedgwick Funeral Home in Bartonville.
