Don’t Insult Soil by Calling it Dirt

Soil gets a bad rep.

Too often we associate it with dirtiness, when really we should be grateful that soil still bears food for us with all the chemicals we’ve put into the world since the Industrial Revolution began.

With that in mind, the Green Hills Public Library in Palos Hills is hosting “That’s Not Dirt, It’s Soil,” a program geared toward teaching kids 5 and up all the wonders beneath our feet. The program starts at 6:30 p.m. Registration is required.
