Greyhound Employee Slain In Front of Station ID'd As Palos Hills Man
Duwon Gaddis, 30, of Palos Hills was fatally shot Monday after he parked his car in front of the Greyhound bus station in downtown Chicago.
CHICAGO — A Greyhound employee who was fatally shot Monday morning in front of the bus station in downtown Chicago has been identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner as a 30-year-old Palos Hills man.
At 11:18 a.m., Chicago police said Duwon Gaddis was parking his vehicle in front of the bus station at 630 W. Harrison St., Deputy Chicago Police Chief Jill Stevens said in a news conference.
As the Palos Hills man exited his vehicle, a man walked toward him on foot and shot him multiple times. Gaddis was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Officials initially believed the shooting occurred during an argument, but Stevens said no words were exchanged.
“We do not know at this time the relationship between the victim and offender, that’s all under investigation,” the deputy police chief said.

The shooter is described as 5-foot-10, dark skinned and heavyset. He was wearing black sweatpants with a white stripe down each leg, and a black hooded sweatshirt with white lettering across the front.
Stevens said CPD Area 3 detectives are reviewing area surveillance video.
Gaddis resided in the 8500 block of West 102nd Terrace, in Palos Hills.
