League Of Women Voters Hosts Criminal Justice Program Saturday On Zoom
Palos Orland League of Women Voters will host a program Saturday, Jan. 11, on criminal justice reform with a Pretrial Fairness Act update.
PALOS — The League of Women Voters of the Palos Orland Area is hosting its first program of the new year this Saturday, Jan. 11. The program about criminal justice reform will start at 10 a.m. CT on Zoom. Have your coffee and questions ready, submitted in chat or in person.
Criminal Justice Reform has been in the news consistently. Jan Goldberg, will present an update on the Pre-Trial Fairness Act in Illinois and how it fits into the larger effort toward safer communities through reform.
Goldberg is a retired social studies teacher and member of the League of Women Voters of the LaGrange Area. She is also the leader of the Criminal Justice Interest Group of the LWV Cook County.
