Why should voters trust you?

I have a common sense approach to city government and as a resident of Palos Hills I want what's best for our city

What are your views on fiscal policy, government spending and the handling of taxpayer dollars in the office you are seeking?

As an elected official, I feel the city has been fiscally responsible by utilizing numerous grant opportunities that helped fund public works projects and the development of Bennett Park. These grants help Palos Hills maintain our low tax rate.

What are your thoughts on the crime rate in your community, and what more can be done to combat crime — especially violent crime —in Palos Hills?

Palos Hills has one of the lowest crime rates in Illinois. I will continue to support our Police Department and in securing new equipment and technology to keep our residents safe.

When it comes to development, what are some key areas for improvement or additions you feel are most wanted by residents? What will need to be done to make this happen?

Our local businesses are a vital part of our community providing resources, services and economic stability. Palos Hills has experienced unprecedented growth in our business community in the last four years.

As an elected official, I have actively promoted and supported current and new businesses.

Is there any reason you would not serve your full term of office, other than those of health or family?

No

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your position?

My wife Kara and I have lived in Palos Hills for 30 years. Our children (Jamie & Noah) attended schools here in town including Stagg and Moraine Valley Community College.
I have volunteered for numerous organizations and programs throughout my life. These included:

  • Several athletic organizations where I served as both a coach and official.
  • Several service and support organizations including Bridgeview Jaycees where I was charter president, Kiwanis, Bridgeview Booster Club, Boy Scouts of America, Hickory Palos Chamber of Commerce and Sertoma.
  • Volunteer instructor for American Red Cross where I taught CPR, First Aid, Water Safety classes, and Lifeguard certifications.
  • Previously taught religious education classes and led a teen mentoring program at St. Fabians Church

If elected, I will continue to represent the citizens of Palos Hills by:

  • Continue to support low taxes in our city by providing fiscal oversight to ensure balanced budgets and responsible spending.
  • Continue to support our Veterans and First Responders through programs like our Veterans Day ceremony, Field of Honor and National Night Out.

  • Provide transparency and accountability by maintaining open communication with constituents.
  • Continue to provide inclusive representation to all voices in our community.
  • Continue to assist and support our senior groups, local school districts and Elsie’s Pantry.
