PALOS HILLS, IL — A 39-year-old Oak Lawn man is charged in a shooting that happened Aug. 29, in which a woman was shot in the foot. Manual A. Barrientos has been charged with aggravated battery with a firearm and numerous other offenses, Palos Hills police said.

During the evening of Aug. 29, officers went to the 10300 block of Harlem Avenue for a reported shooting in a parking lot. By the time officers arrived, police said Barrientos had already left the scene.

Palos Hills police obtained a nationwide arrest warrant for Barrientos on the gun charge. Police said Barrientos fled from two area police departments, and the FBI Fugitives Task Force was brought in to assist. Barrientos was taken into custody Wednesday in Burbank, police said.
