Orland Man Breaks Door, Batters Palos Health Security Guards: Police

The man broke down a door to gain access to a prohibited area of the hospital, Palos Heights police said.

PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — An Orland Park man was arrested after police said he caused a disturbance at Northwestern Medicine-Palos Hospital, reports said.

Nicholas Fountas, 32, was charged with battery and criminal damage to property.

Palos Heights police answered a disturbance call Jan. 6 at the hospital on 122nd Street and 80th Avenue.

Staff told police that a man, later identified as Fountas, broke down a door trying to gain access to an area that was off limits to the public, reports said.

Fountas is then alleged to have battered two hospital security officers. His next court date is Feb. 11 at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
