Palos Heights Police Blotter: DUIs and Retail Theft
A recap of arrests made by the Palos Heights Police Department from Aug. 18 to Aug. 22.

DUI: A vehicle driven by Daniel Kazimierczuk, 25, of Lemont, was stopped for improper lane usage on Aug. 18 at 12900 S. Harlem Avenue. Police said Kazimierczuk was driving under the influence of alcohol. A Breathalyzer examination revealed he had a blood alcohol level over the legal limit of .08. Kazimierczuk was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle.
DUI: Omar Fakhouri, 21 of Orland Park, was stopped for speeding at Harlem Avenue and 123rd Street on Aug. 19. Fakhouri failed a field sobriety test and was arrested. At the police station, Fakhouri failed a Breathalyzer test, according to police. Fakhouri was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, no proof of valid insurance and speeding.
Retail Theft: Christopher Seibert, 40, of Chicago Ridge, was charged with retail theft on Aug. 20 after a Dominick's employee told police he took three cases of beer without paying.

Disorderly Conduct: Chili Costello, 47, of Hickory Hills, was accused by Palos Community Hospital staff of taking miscellaneous medical supplies while waiting for a friend who was being treated in the emergency room on Aug. 22 at 10:58 a.m. Costello was issued a citation for disorderly conduct.
DUI: Efren Chavez Jr., 25, of Oak Lawn, was stopped by police at 12300 S. Harlem Ave. on Aug. 22 at 4:42 a.m. on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He later submitted to a Breathalyzer examination, which showed a blood alcohol level over the legal .08, police said. Chavez was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Driving with Suspended License: Mohammed Abdellatif, 20, of Hickory Hills, was observed traveling 64 mph in a 45 mph zone on Cal Sag Road on Aug. 22 at 9:19 p.m. Officers stopped the vehicle in the 11400 block of Harlem Avenue. Police said Abdellatif gave a false name because his license was currently suspended. He was charged with speeding, driving with a suspended license and obstructing a peace officer.
