Palos Heights Police Blotter: Theft at Church, DUI

A recap of crimes committed in Palos Heights from Aug. 22 - Aug. 29.

Driving Witout a Valid License: On Aug. 24 a vehicle driven by Miguel Hernandez-Castillo, 36, of Oak Lawn, was stopped for speeding at 12000 S. Harlem Avenue. It was learned that he had never obtained a driver's license, police said. Hernandez-Castillo was charged with speeding, driving without valid insurance and driving without a valid license.

Theft Under $300: A choir member at The Stone Church at 6330 W. 127th Street placed her purse down on a table before she went to choir practice on Aug. 29, police said. When she returned, the purse was missing.

DUI: Luis A Bobadilla, 31, of Palatine, was stopped for speeding at 124th Street and Harlem Avenue on Aug. 22. It was determined he was driving under the influence of alcohol, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding.

Retail Theft: Sherri A. Schlosser, 27, of Oak Lawn, was arrested for stealing liquor from Dominick's at 6401. 127th Street on Aug, 25, police said. She was charged with retail theft.
