Palos Hills Resident Thwarts Attempted Carjacking In His Garage

PALOS HILLS, IL — A resident was able to fend off a potential carjacker when confronted in his garage last Monday, reports said

The resident told officers that he pulled into his garage in the 9000 block of 82nd Court, when a man appeared at his driver’s side window. According to the report, the man pointed a gun at the resident’s head and told him to get out of the vehicle.

Instead, the man put his vehicle into reverse and accelerated out of the garage. The man fled and entered a car waiting down the block.
