Palos Park Streets To Be Closed For Autumn In the Park Parade
Police are reminding drivers to plan ahead as several local streets will be closed for four hours on Saturday to accommodate parade traffic.
PALOS PARK, IL — As local organizers put the final touches on preparations for Autumn In the Park festivities this weekend, local motorists are reminded that they will need to make some adjustments in their route planning.
Palos Park Police said that 123rd Street (McCarthy Road) will be closed between 96th Avenue and 80th Avenue between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. for the Autumn In the Park parade. The parade begins at 11 a.m. and will be held on the Village Green at 8901 W. 123rd St.
Alternative routes for east-west traffic will be Route 83, 119th Street, and 131st Street. North and south streets will also be affected, police said 80th Street will be open, 86th will be closed, and 87th & 88th will be closed at 123rd. 81st, 82nd, 83rd, Mohawk, and 93rd Ave. are closed at 123rd.
