played host to expert chili cooks and local first responders on Saturday, Sept. 17 at the annual chili cook off. The day started out with a parade down McCarty Road and the party continued out onto the where cooks offered samples of their best chili and salsa recipes. The entire event was done with an eye toward local first responders in recognition of the 1. The Palos Park Police Department and Palos Fire Protection District held demonstrations throughout the day including a ceremony remembering the victims of Sept. 11.  If you have any photos from Saturday, feel free to add them to the gallery.
