A single vehicle crash slowed down traffic on Route 45 Wednesday afternoon as a car stood flipped on its roof. At about 2:26 p.m. a single car rolled onto its roof as it was traveling in the innermost lane southbound down Route 45 just south of the Route 83 bridge, said Palos Fire Protection District Chief Steve Carr. Emergency crews were able to respond within about two minutes. The driver of the vehicle refused treatment and denied any injuries, Carr said. Cook County sheriff's officers are handling the investigation.
