A Beverly native who's been featured on Last Comic Standing and The David Letterman Show is pit-stopping in Palos next month for what's sure to be an evening filled with laughter and lightheartedness.

Pat McGann is hosting a family-friendly comedy night May 21 at St. Alexander School in Palos Heights, where musical guest Joey, Digs & The Dentist Band will also take the stage.

McGann, who made a career switch in 2007 from his day job as a packaging salesman, is a touring comedian and regular at Zanies Comedy Club. When not traveling for gigs, he's a featured guest on Comcast's Sports Talk Live and ABC's Windy City Live, among other well-known radio programs. He was also the creator and host of the 2010 Emmy-nominated television show, The Chicago Stand Up Project.
