Where To Gobble A Turkey Near Palos On Thanksgiving Day

PALOS, IL — Not everyone wants to cook on Thanksgiving Day. Whether your choice is a traditional holiday meal with gourmet sides and an impressive wine list, a more casual atmosphere with a greater range of menu options, several restaurants in the Palos area will be open.

Reservations for Thanksgiving, which is on Nov. 27 this year, will fill up quickly. Some local favorites in the Palos area include:

Barraco’s, 3701 W. 95th St., Evergreen Park — Has a Thanksgiving dinner package starting at $150 ($160 if you want the turkey carved), including a 10-12 pound turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, a dozen rolls, cranberries and pie. Other catered packages are also offered, as well as individual turkey dinners for pickup and delivery. Everything is served hot and ready to eat. Order catered packages asap. Chuck’s Southern Comfort Cafe, 6501 S. 79th St., Burbank — Chuck’s is offering an all-you-can-eat Thanksgiving buffet for dining in from noon to 4 p.m., Nov. 27. $45 for adults; $20 kids 4-12; children under 3 are free. Harvest Room, 7164 W. 127th St., Palos Heights – Harvest Room will be serving Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Reservations are REQUIRED, 708- 671-8905. Currently taking reservations. No reservation, no dinner.

Jenny’s Steakhouse and Pub, 11041 S. Menard Ave., Chicago Ridge — Jenny's is serving catered feasts for 8 to 12 people for pick-up, $175. Order now. A family-style dining-in option for families/parties of 6 or more, adults $45, under 12, $18. Select dining-in dinners are also offered, along with a limited grill. Eddie Merlot’s Steakhouse, 201 Bridewell Drive, Burr Ridge – Eddie Merlot’s will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thanksgiving Day and serving a special, three-course, turkey dinner with all the trimmings, as well as our dinner menu full of signature items.
