Using Patch to Volunteer and Interact

My goal is to make Palos Patch not just a place where you can read news about your community, but a place where you can become a more connected community member.

Local non-profits and community groups are able to post events and announcements on the site free of cost. In addition, they are also able to let residents know how they can give back to their community.  You can find how to give back to your community by browsing our volunteer announcements which can be found here.

Our event calendar is a comprehensive listing of all the various activities taking place in the towns of Palos. We post everything from library classes to city council meeting. You can find the event calendar here.

If you or your organization wishes to place an event on the calendar--it's easy. Just look for the "Contribute" box at the bottom of the home page. You can also send events and announcements to our calendar editor: news@chicago-patch.com. We are looking for everything from the church rummage sale to wedding and baby announcements. Post on Patch, and interact with your community.
