Woman Arrested After Kicking Cops at Friendship Fest

Police arrested one woman and responded to the theft of $1,500 worth of wires at the Palos Hills Fest.

Palos Hills police responded to two incidents at last weekend's Friendship Fest.

On Thursday, July 12, Elizabeth Finan-Kutkowski, 41, of Chicago, was charged with disorderly conduct, battery and resisting arrest.

Police say that she was leaving the festival after it had closed down at about 10:30 p.m. when she began yelling profanities and "causing a disturbance with employees and festival visitors."

She refused all attempts to leave the fest peacefully and when officers attempted to arrest her she kicked them twice, police said.

The next day, on July 13, festival workers reported to police that someone cut and took ground wire that was being used. The value of the wire was estimated at $1,500, police said.
