Burglars Shout 'Fire' In Attempt To Draw Residents Out Of Home: Park Ridge PD
The pair said the residents needed to exit the home before throwing an object through a glass door during the late Tuesday night incident.
PARK RIDGE, IL — A residential burglary in the 1300 block of Brophy Avenue late Tuesday night remains under investigation. Park Ridge police said the incident occurred at around 11:54 p.m.
Residents of the home told police that they had heard someone shouting that there was a fire and that they needed to exit the home. Upon looking outside, they saw two males dressed in dark clothes standing near the rear door of the residents.
The burglars then threw an object through the rear glass door, and were in the process of entering, when they were confronted by one of the residents. Both then fled the area, last seen running northbound. The two are described as between the ages of 15 and 30, wearing all dark clothing, race unknown.

Park Ridge police, with the assistance of the Niles Police Department K9 unit, searched the area for the pair, but were unsuccessful. Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Park Ridge Police Department at 847-318-5252.
