Park Ridge crime summary: woman arrested for DUI, stolen animal traps and multiple car burglaries
Several unlocked cars were burglarized

The following was obtained from Park Ridge police records. An arrest or charge of a crime is not a determination of guilt.
On November 7, police were notified that about the theft of four steel animal traps on the 2400 block of Manor Lane. The value of the traps was estimated to be more than $500.
Marta Witkiewicz, a 31-year-old resident of Park Ridge, was arrested for multiple charges last Thursday morning. Police arrested her near the intersection of W. Touhy Ave. and Cumberland Ave. Witkiewicz was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without insurance and leaving the scene of an accident. Her court date is set for December 3.

Two cars on the 1600 block of S. Prospect Ave. were burglarized on November 6. Loose change and a phone charger were stolen.
Three other cars, two of them unlocked, were burglarized in the first two weeks of November. The locations of these crimes were the 1500 block of W. Talcott Road, the 1700 block of S. Fairview Ave., and the 1400 block of Park Ridge Blvd.
