CDBG Public Services Application Available Nov. 2

The City of Peoria receives CDBG funding each year from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

The application period for 2021 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Public Services funding will open at 8:00 AM on Monday, November 2nd and close at 3:00 PM on Monday, November 23rd. The city of Peoria receives CDBG funding each year from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Up to 15% of the annual funding amount can be used to fund public service programs serving low and moderate-income persons.

This funding is available to not-for-profits, 501(c)3 organizations, and government agencies to provide services to low and moderate-income persons. Eligible applications will be reviewed by the CDBG Public Services Advisory Commission and agencies will be notified of funding decisions following City Council approval.

Interested organizations are encouraged to attend one hour-long online application training session. City staff will be offering the online application training sessions at two different times: Monday, November 2nd at 1:00 PM and Thursday, November 5th at 10:00 AM. Log-in information for the online application training sessions is available at http://www.peoriagov.org/community-development/neighborhood-development-division/.

For those who cannot attend, a recording of one of the training sessions will be posted on http://www.peoriagov.org/community-development/neighborhood-development-division/ under the Applications and Forms tab under CDBG Public Services.
