Chief Judge Paul P. Gilfillan Announces Appointment Of Marshall County Resident Circuit Judge

"Paul Bauer will be an excellent addition to the judiciary in the Tenth Circuit," Chief Judge Paul Gilfillan said.

From Chief Judge Paul P. Gilfillan of the Tenth Judicial Circuit:

I am pleased to announce on behalf of the Tenth Circuit Court of Illinois that the Illinois Supreme Court, upon the recommendation of Justice Thomas Kilbride, has appointed Lacon, Illinois attorney Paul E. Bauer to the position of Marshall County Resident Circuit Judge, effective November 19, 2020 and ending on December 5, 2022. Mr. Bauer is appointed to the vacancy created by the retirement of the Honorable Michael P. McCuskey.

More details concerning the swearing in ceremony will be posted on the Tenth Circuit’s website in the near future. Attendance will be limited due to Covid-19 precautions and a Zoom option will likely be available. Mr. Bauer’s first assignment will be to fill out the 2020 docket in Peoria County’s Law Courtroom 214, before beginning his first full assignment in Tazewell County Civil Courtroom 202 beginning January 1, 2021.
