The COP Snow Fighters have completed treating and plowing the primary routed arterial streets this morning.  They have now entered into the residential street plowing part of the snow and ice removal plan.  We will remain on the residential streets, plowing them until they have been completed.  Unfortunately, the residential streets have snow and ice pack on them currently, and will not see bare pavement as we are dealing with the air temperatures in the upper teens and the road temperatures in the low twenties and dipping into the single digits tonight.  The road conditions are very passable but slippery in many areas.  Caution must be used if you are traveling today.  Drive slow and be safe!    For information on the City’s Snow Plan, including routes, route prioritization and more, visit http://www.peoriagov.org/public-works/winter/
