Here are the top three stories in Peoria today:

  1. Peoria police are investigating a stabbing that occurred near Stanley Street and Krause Avenue on Mar. 8. Officers responded at 1:40 p.m. and the male victim was transported to a local hospital with an apparent stab wound. The incident is currently under investigation. (CIProud.com)
  2. West Peoria announced a temporary road closure from 10:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Mar. 11. Both Farmington Road, between Park Road and Swords Avenue, and Southport Road, between Pottstown Road and Farmington Road, will be closed during that time. (CIProud.com)
  3. Two buildings are condemned after a large fire in Peoria on Monday, Mar. 6. There were two explosions in the buildings as firefighters arrived at the fire located in the 800 block of Northeast Monroe Street, according to Battalion Chief Thomas Stimeling. No one was injured, but residents are now displaced. (Peoria Journal Star)
