PLAINFIELD, IL — The Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce and the Friends for Charitable Giving, a group of community minded volunteers, are pleased to announce that over $114,000 in net proceeds was raised at the 2019 Plainfield Giving Gala. Approximately three hundred guests attended the black tie affair which was held on Feb. 16 at the Bolingbrook Golf Club. In addition to a formal dinner the event included an open bar, silent and live auctions, cash raffle and dancing to a ten piece orchestra.

The mission of the Plainfield Giving Gala is to raise funds for charitable causes throughout the Plainfield area.

"For our inaugural event, we are very pleased with the results and are truly grateful to our generous sponsors and everyone that attended and supported the Gala," said Ron Kazmar, who along with his wife Kathy was a co-chair of the 2019 Giving Gala. "A wonderful time was had by all raising money for those in need and we are looking forward to next year’s Giving Gala which will be held on February 22, 2020 at the Bolingbrook Golf Club.”
