Plainfield police said detectives do not yet have any leads or suspects in the case.

PLAINFIELD, IL — A residence in the 25500 block of Rock Drive was struck by a bullet, though Plainfield police said they have no leads or suspects in the case.
Officers responded at 1:45 p.m. to the property after a resident found a single bullet went through the house into the second floor, damaging a wall and a mirror in a bathroom. No one was home when the damage occurred — the residents had been away for about a day before they noticed what happened, Administrative Sergeant Luke Ostreko told Patch.
Police checked with nearby residences and did not find any evidence of a shooting or additional damage. The incident was forwarded to the Plainfield Police Department Criminal Investigation Unit.
