Kirk Road In Batavia To Fully Close For Railroad Track Repairs
City officials are warning drivers of major traffic disruptions due to the upcoming road closure in both directions.
BATAVIA, IL — Kirk Road in Batavia will fully close Friday for BNSF railroad track repairs, city officials said.
The roadway will be closed in both directions between Wilson Street and Hubbard Avenue beginning at 6 a.m. Friday and lasting through Nov. 19.
In an alert Tuesday evening on Facebook, officials warned drivers of "major traffic disruption" as a result of the project. Detour details will be released soon.
