PLAINFIELD, IL — Lockport Street will see some congestion in a few weeks with the start of an Illinois Department of Transportation project.

IDOT will begin bridge deck repairs on Lockport Street in June. As a result, Lockport Street will be restricted to one-way eastbound traffic between Wood Farm Road and Main Street for the duration of the project.

Drivers should plan ahead and allow for extra time to drive through the area, Plainfield officials said when sharing the update in a newsletter Friday.
