Vittorio F. DiNardo
Vittorio F. DiNardo, age 82, late of Shorewood, and a longtime Joliet resident, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on May 26, 1943 in Tripoli, Libya, he was the son of Nicola and Maria (Mancuso) DiNardo. He was raised in Italy, moving to the United States and to Joliet in 1963, where he met and married the love of his life, Jacquelyn Vlahos. They enjoyed 60 years of marriage prior to his passing.
Vittorio was employed by Caterpillar, Inc., where he was a member of the United Auto Workers, and worked as a maintenance technician, retiring after 30 years of service. He was proud of his Italian heritage and enjoyed his membership in the American Italian Cultural Society, where he had many lifelong friends.

Vittorio was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather whose warmth, humor, and generosity touched everyone who knew him. He lived his life with intention and love, always putting his family first and finding joy in the simple, meaningful moments spent together. He will be remembered for his kindness, his creativity, his hard work, and the deep love he held for his family. His legacy lives on in the lessons he taught, the memories he created, and the love he gave so freely.
Vittorio was a man of many talents and interests. He enjoyed sharing these with his family by cooking, grilling, building, and fixing things around the house. He shared his love of art, drawing, painting, sculpture, running, swimming, traveling, going to the beach, skiing and dancing with his wife, children and grandchildren.
He will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
Survivors include his loving wife, Jacquelyn; his devoted children, Nicola Vittorio (Michelle) DiNardo of McHenry, and Michelle (Brian) DiNardo Alling of Joliet; his adoring grandchildren, Vittorio and Nina DiNardo and Jacquelyn and Addison Keeton; two dear step-grandchildren, Evan and Nicholas Griffiths; one brother, Gino (Kimberly) DiNardo; one sister, Enzina Bestowrous; a sister-in-law, Linda DiNardo; numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Luca DiNardo and Giulio DiNardo; and one brother-in-law, Makram Bestowrous.
Visitation for Vittorio DiNardo will be held Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of funeral services at 12:00 p.m., Noon, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, Joliet. Interment services will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.
