Phone Scam Warning From Plainfield School District
Plainfield school officials say they are not working with "Sports Media Advertising" in any way.
PLAINFIELD, IL — Plainfield school district officials are warning residents to be wary of callers claiming to be with a company called "Sports Media Advertising." Area residents have reportedly gotten calls from the 682 area code out of Fort Worth, Texas, claiming to be soliciting money for District 202.
"This is a scam," the school district said. "District 202 is not working with this company in any way."
