Plainfield District 202 Bands, Choirs To Present Holiday Performances

PLAINFIELD, IL — Music departments at all four of District 202’s high schools will help to ring in the holiday season with a series of upcoming musical performances, the district recently announced.

Plainfield South’s music department will present its annual Holiday Collage concert, which features all of the high school’s bands and choirs in addition to numerous extra-curricular ensembles. The performance will be presented in an uninterrupted collage format and performances will take place at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. on Friday. A number of tickets will be available for purchase at the door for $5 after online ticket sales ended earlier this week.

Plainfield High School’s Central Campus will offer its Holiday Collage Concert at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Saturday at the school auditorium. Attendees are asked to park near the stadium and enter the school through Door G. The concert is free and open to the community.

At Plainfield East, the school’s bands and choir will present its annual Holiday Collage Concert at 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Saturday in the school auditorium. The program features all curricular bands and choirs as well as numerous small instrumental and vocal ensembles in an uninterrupted collage format, the district said. The concert is free.

Plainfield North will be the final school to provide holiday entertainment at its annual Holiday Collage Concert, which will be presented at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Dec. 16 in the school auditorium. Admission to the performance is free and donations are welcome at the door to support the Plainfield North band and choir programs.
