Plainfield Mayor Term Ends, 3 Trustee Seats Open: April 2025 Election
April will mark the end of John Argoudelis's first term as mayor as well as the three trustees also elected in 2021.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Although all eyes are on the November general election, Plainfield is beginning to prepare for the consolidated election on April 1, 2025, when the mayoral seat and three trustee positions will be up for election.
April will mark the end of John Argoudelis's first term as mayor. Each also elected in 2021, trustees Patricia Kalkanis, Cally Larson and Tom Ruane's seats will also be up for grabs.
Kalkanis previously served from December 2019 to April 2021, and Larson from 2017 to 2021. Ruane was first elected trustee in 2021.

The four positions are each for a four-year term.
Petitions will begin circulating for the mayor and trustee seats on Aug. 20. Petition packets will be posted on the village's website by 9 a.m. that Tuesday.

The first day to file petitions will be 9 a.m. Nov. 12, and the filing period will end at 5 p.m. Nov. 18.
