Plainfield Mayoral Debate to Proceed as Town Hall

Plainfield, IL - March 17, 2025 - The Lightning Strike Talk Radio Show is pleased to announce a special town hall event featuring Plainfield Mayor John Argoudelis on Tuesday, March 18, at 5:00 PM. The event will take place at The Sovereign, located at 24216 W Lockport St, in downtown Plainfield, IL.

All four mayoral candidates were invited to participate in a debate; however, only incumbent Mayor John Argoudelis accepted the invitation. Despite multiple emails sent to all four candidates:

• One candidate declined the invitation.
• One candidate did not respond.
• One candidate called on the phone but did not leave a message and did not respond to a subsequent text message.

In light of these circumstances, the debate has been reformatted as a town hall. All Plainfield voters are encouraged to participate either in person or online via the following Zoom link:

During the town hall, Lightning Strike Talk Radio Show co-hosts Ken DeLuc and Sheila White will engage with Mayor Argoudelis to discuss the upcoming election, important issues facing Plainfield, and his vision for the village's future. The event will be moderated by Mohammed Faheem, Producer and Host of The Lightning Strike Talk Radio Show.

Excerpts from the town hall will be aired on The Lightning Strike Talk Radio Show, which airs live on WCPT 820 AM Sunday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. The full town hall will also be posted on the radio show website www.tlschicago.com, on the show's YouTube channel (@tlsradio), Facebook, and Instagram.

This town hall is a valuable opportunity for Plainfield residents to hear directly from Mayor Argoudelis and engage in meaningful dialogue about the future of their community.
