Plainfield Village Board: 1 Incumbent Wins, Newcomers Snag Seats
A look at vote totals in the Plainfield village races.

PLAINFIELD, IL — One incumbent was projected to keep his spot on the Plainfield village board, while another longtime trustee is projected to lose. It looks as if Brian “Wojo” Wojowski will keep his seat on the board, while longtime trustee Bill Lamb will lose and two newcomers will join the board: pilot Kevin Calkins and Harry Benton.
Mohammed F. Faheem also sought a seat on the board.

Faheem wrote on his website that he has spent more than 30 years working to deliver on promises to his family, co-workers and clients, and says that his "foremost priority is making Plainfield the best place to live in." The four pillars of his campaign, according to his website, were jobs, veterans assistance, special needs and diversity.
Benton, a member of Ironworkers Local 444, said he was looking to bring “fresh, new ideas to Plainfield.”

“Citizens United for Responsible Transportation: Plainfield” endorsed Wojowski, Faheem and Calkins, calling Calkins, an American Airlines pilot, “old school.”
Village candidate vote totals (100 percent of precincts reporting in Will and Kendall counties):
- Incumbent Brian “Wojo” Wojowski - 1,232
- Incumbent Bill Lamb- 1,036
- Kevin Calkins - 1,194
- Mohammed F. Faheem - 862
- Harry Benton - 1,106
