Plainfield police renewed their call to watch out for deer after several more crashes.

PLAINFIELD, IL — For weeks, police around the Chicago area have been warning drivers: Keep an eye out for deer. It's mating season, which means lovesick deer are out on Illinois roads, increasing the chances that drivers will be involved in a collision.

On Monday, Plainfield police said that over the last few days, they've responded to several car vs. deer crashes. These are the hotspots for crashes so far:

  • Area of 127th Street and Heggs Road
  • Area of 135th Street and Heggs Road
  • Route 30 south of 135th Street

"Historically, Rt. 59 near 143rd St. is also a hotspot," police said on Facebook.
