Pre-Leasing Starts For New Sixteen30 Luxury Apartments

PLAINFIELD, IL — More than 280 luxury apartments, along with a private clubhouse, are soon to hit the market, with pre-leasing for the new Sixteen30 starting Friday.

Sixteen30 offers a mix of studios and 1- to 3-bedroom apartments — ranging from 600 to 1,500 square feet — that cost between $1,485 to $2,850 per month.

Apartments feature 9-foot-tall ceilings, walk-in closets, in-unit washer/dryer, keyless entry and high-speed internet, among other things. Most units also have a patio or balcony.

The Wingspan Development Group-owned rental community, at 14750 S. Wallin Drive, is a $60 million, 284-unit development near the intersection of Wallin Street and Lockport Drive. Sixteen30 comprises eight neo-farmhouse-style buildings laid out around a 7,500-square-foot private clubhouse, fitness center, bocce course and resort-style pool, according to a news release.

"Not only is it one of the few new rental communities in Plainfield, which has seen steady population growth, but it also represents best-in-class design and some of the most appealing amenities right now for post-pandemic living," Chris Coleman, vice president of development at Wingspan, said in a statement. "Residents will have access to plenty of outdoor recreation and green space, plus a cybercafe with office hoteling in the clubhouse for those working from home."

The clubhouse is meant to serve as the "social hub" for the community, officials said in the release. The clubhouse is equipped with a coffee bar, fitness center, yoga studio, grilling area and pet spa, making it easier to get errands done without having to go far from home.

Mount Prospect-based Wingspan's sister company, Nicholas & Associates worked on Sixteen30's construction, and Lincoln Property Company will oversee leasing and property management.
