Woman Found Dead In Car Was Likely Deceased 'For Some Time': Plainfield PD
Acquaintances went to check on the woman when they found her dead in a car in her driveway, police said.

PLAINFIELD, IL — A woman was found dead in a car Sunday afternoon, and Plainfield police said they suspect she "had likely been in such a state for some time."
Acquaintances of the woman went to check on her and found her in the car parked in the driveway of her residence in the 14700 block of Eastern Avenue, Administrative Sergeant Luke Ostreko told Patch.
Police arrived on the scene around 2 p.m. Sunday to investigate. It remains unclear when the woman died, Ostreko said Monday.

Detectives didn't find any other victims in the house or additional structures on the property, according to Ostreko. The incident was forwarded to the Plainfield Police Department Criminal Investigation Unit for follow-up.
Plainfield police are working with the Will County Coroner’s Office to determine the exact time of death. A cause of death has not been released.
