Bolingbrook Man Arrested For Attempted Robbery: Romeoville PD
A Bolingbrook man in his early fifties was arrested Sunday, Dec. 15 in Romeoville on charges of attempted robbery and aggravated battery.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — A Bolingbrook man named Carlos Nava was arrested Sunday, Dec. 17 in connection to a robbery attempt on a Romeoville gas station. According to a report given by the Romeoville Police Department, police responded to a robbery in progress at the Thornton's Service Station at 1321 Joliet Road just before 8:30 p.m. The report alleges that Nava, 52, entered the service station and pushed an employee while stating “this is a robbery.”
The report goes on to say that Nava tried removing products from behind the service counter and attempted to empty the cash register. He was then restrained by three passerby in the station until police arrived.
Nava was arrested by Romeoville PD and charged with attempted robbery and aggravated battery. He is currently in custody at the Will County Adult Detention Facility, awaiting a court date on Jan. 9, 2020.

All charges against Nava are merely accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty.
