Book It: R.C. Hill Students Treated to Romeoville History Lesson

Local historian Nancy Hackett and Village Trustee Brian Cleary stopped by R.C. Hill Elementary School on Monday to talk about the history of Romeoville.

Nancy Hackett and her friends at the Romeoville Historical Society teamed to write the book, Images of America: Romeoville.

And, since the book first was unveiled during a ceremony in August at White Oak Library's Romeoville Branch, she has been signing copies for friends and neighbors and working to share her knowledge of Romeoville's rich history with a number of local groups and organizations.

This week the Hackett book tour—Hackett was joined by Romeoville Trustee Brian Clancy—made a stop at R.C. Hill Elmentary School where  second-graders learned about the Village's history, according to a Valley View School District news release.
