ROMEOVILLE, IL — Lockport Fire Protection District responded to Lewis University in Romeoville overnight into Tuesday for a fire alarm set off by burnt popcorn, officials said.
Despite a social media post saying there was a fire in the dorm, that was not the case, according to the fire district.
"No fire, just a bad cook," the deputy chief said in an email.

Lewis University is a 4-year university which has its main campus at 1 University Parkway in Romeoville. The university has 11 residence halls.
