Involuntary Manslaughter Charge In Vehicle Shooting: Police
A Joliet man is charged in connection with the shooting that killed 24-year-old Dennis Lee.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — A 20-year-old Joliet man faces multiple charges, including involuntary manslaughter, in the Sept. 8 shooting inside a vehicle that left 24-year-old Dennis Lee of Romeoville dead.
Adrian F. Bailey was arrested Friday by Romeoville police. His charges also include aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a firearm without an owner’s identification card. Will County jail records show Bailey's bond was set at $500,000, and he is due back in court Monday.
Police were called to Taylor Road west of Weber Road at 10:05 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a person who was shot, police said.

Officers were then told the car had driven to the 1700 block of Autumn Woods Lane in Romeoville, according to police. They found a man, identified as Lee with a gunshot wound in the front passenger area of the vehicle, police said.
Officers began life-saving measures until paramedics arrived. Lee was taken to Adventist Hospital in Bolingbrook, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

Police said the gunshot that struck Lee was fired from inside the vehicle, and called the shooting an isolated incident and said there is no danger to the community.
