Marine Week Chicago Event Planned At Romeoville HS

Event organizers said the event is a great opportunity to bring the family to see the vehicles, simulators and performances.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Celebrate the 250th birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps with Marine Week Chicago, which will be held at Romeoville High School on July 10.

Event organizers said this event is a great opportunity to bring the family and as many Marines as possible to see the vehicles, simulators, games, performances and more at the event.

The event will run from 2 to 9 p.m. at the high school, 100 N. Independence Blvd., and is hosted by the Romeoville MCJROTC.

The schedule for the day includes relay lanes, food trucks, tug of war, yard games, martial arts demonstrations, flight simulator, vehicle displays, helicopter displays, recruiting tents, drill demonstrations, performances from the Marine Corps band and more.

According to the U.S. Marines Corps, celebrations are planned across the country this year in Los Angeles, Nashville, Chicago, Boston and Atlanta.
