Early voting dates, races to watch and how to vote by mail.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The consolidated election, which features several local races, will be held on April 1. However, early voting starts in just over two weeks on March 17, and residents can already request a ballot to vote by mail.

Romeoville voters will vote on several races, including positions for the Village, Township, schools and libraries. Here are some races that will appear on the ballot:

Early voting

Romeoville-area voters who want to cast their ballots early, can do so starting March 17. If you don't want to travel outside of Romeoville, you can head to Village Hall, 1050 W. Romeo Road.

The Romeoville Village Hall site serves local residents only.

Hours for early voting at Village Hall will be:

  • March 17-March 21, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • March 24-28, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Voting by mail

You can apply directly with the Will County Clerk's Office for your vote by mail ballot request. The first day to request your vote by mail ballot was Jan. 2, and Will County residents have until March 27 to request a vote by mail ballot.

The first day that the vote by mail ballots will be mailed is March 17, according to the clerk's office.

Election Day
Polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. on April 1. If you are already in line to vote when the polls close, you can still vote — so don't leave!
