Romeoville Holiday Decorating Contest Returns

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Village of Romeoville Beautification Commission will conduct its annual holiday decorating contest this December. Here's how it works:

REGISTRATION:

• Any decorated home may be nominated by a resident.
• To register a home call: (815) 886-5022 or e-mail llynch@romeoville.org. Registration ends at 5 p.m. Dec. 7.

JUDGING:

• Monday, Dec. 10
• Please leave your lights on from 5 to 10:30 p.m. Only homes with lights turned on will be judged. Judging will be based on the creative use of outdoor decorations.

PRIZES:

• 3 prizes will be awarded in each region: East: North, Central, South and West: North, Central, South.
• Prizes are: 1st place: $75 gift certificate, 2nd place: $50 gift certificate, 3rd place: $30 gift certificate. (1st place winners eligible for once every three years)
• Winners will be posted on www.romeoville.org on Dec. 14.
