ROMEOVILLE, IL — There will be no waste collection in Romeoville on Christmas day. Residents who typically have Wednesday trash pick-up will have their service delayed until Thursday, Dec. 26. Following Christmas, those residents whose normal waste collection day is Thursday will have their service delayed until Friday, Dec. 27.

Romeoville and Plainfield both rely on waste disposal company Waste Management for their garbage and recycling services. The company's website states that, "if your service day falls on or follows [an] observed holiday, your service will be delayed by one day for that week only."

Next week, trash service will be impacted in the same way by New Year's Day, which falls on a Wednesday. To Find your normal waste collection day, visit the Romeoville waste service map.
