Here's What's Coming To Former Romeoville Dominick's Spot

ROMEOVILLE, IL — A new VASA Fitness location will be opening in Romeoville, the Village shared on its Facebook page.

"VASA Fitness will be going in the, what is most commonly known as the old Dominick's store site," Romeoville Mayor John Noak said during Wednesday's Village Board meeting.

More details on the facility will be coming soon. The site is located in the Romeoville Towne Center.

"The construction fences are already out, the permits have already been issued for construction. I think they have a very aggressive timeline," Noak added.

The location is very large, and Noak did reveal the facility will have a pool.

"It will be a fine addition to the center," Noak said.

Vasa has several locations in Illinois, including in Joliet, Oswego, Wheaton, Glendale Heights, Villa Park and Northbrook. Locations in Matteson, Rockford and Crystal Lake are also coming soon.

The Oswego location also opened in a former Dominick's store.

The ownership of Romeoville Towne Center is actively pursuing additional leasing opportunities, with more announcements to come, the Village said.
