SHOREWOOD, IL — The Shorewood Towne Center is expected to draw several hundred people over the next three days. Why? It's time for the village's first-ever Shorewood Holiday Market. While the event is geared for Shorewood residents, Mayor CC DeBold encourages everyone in the area to attend.

"This event will be another great way for our residents and people in the community to enjoy the holiday season," DeBold told Patch. "The village has over 30 vendors participating in its first holiday market. We look forward to continuing to showcase Shorewood."

The holiday market takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. The Minooka High School Madrigals perform from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Friday; on Saturday, Elsa will be here from 4 to 6 p.m. and The Grinch from 6 to 8 p.m.; on Sunday, Santa and Mrs. Claus will attend from 5 to 6 p.m. and there will be live reindeer from 4 to 8 p.m.
