SHOREWOOD, IL — A woman said she believes she lost a ring that has sentimental value while she was shopping in Shorewood, Plainfield and Joliet Sept. 15 and she's asking the public's help in finding the lost ring.

Shirley Gimpel, a resident of New Lenox, was shopping at Homegoods and Marshall’s in Shorewood; Panera bread in Plainfield; and Sam's Club in Joliet, Gimpel's daughter Christine Blaesing told Patch.

"She thinks she may have taken the ring off to wash her hands in one of the restrooms and left the ring there," Blaesing said.
