2025 Trick-Or-Treating Hours For Skokie
Residents can alert trick-or-treaters if their household is participating with a sign to display on the front door.
SKOKIE, IL — Halloween is just two weeks away, so it's almost time to put finishing touches on costumes and stock up on candy for trick-or-treaters.
This year, Oct. 31 falls on a Friday, and trick-or-treat hours in Skokie go from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
In Evanston, trick-or-treat hours will be 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The city is also hosting two Halloween events: Trunk-or-Treat at the Robert Crown Community Center Parking lot off Main Street from 1:30 p.m.to 3:30 p.m. and Nightmare on Foster St. from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Fleetwood Jourdain Community Center

Trick-or-treating hours in Winnetka, Wilmette and Northfield will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. In Kenilworth, trick-or-treaters are encouraged to head out after school, beginning at 3:15 p.m., with festivities wrapping up around 8 p.m.

- Only approach houses with porch lights on during trick-or-treating hours.
- Stay in groups.
- Always stay on sidewalks when possible.
- Cross streets at intersections instead of the middle of the street or between cars.
- Drivers should slow down and be alert.
- Flashlights or glow sticks can help with visibility.
- A responsible adult should accompany young children.
- Put electronic devices down, keep heads up and walk, don't run, across the street.
