The new fitness center offers 60-minute workout sessions split into intervals of cardiovascular and strength training.

SKOKIE, IL - Just in time for the pre-summer fitness push, a new center offering workout sessions comprised of interval-based training is officially open in Skokie.

Orangetheory Fitness, 5230 Touhy Ave., held its first class on Sunday, April 17, according to the company's Facebook page. The center offers 60-minute workout sessions split into intervals of cardiovascular and strength training. Participants even have access to heart rate monitors to track intensity and maximize their metabolic burn.

"Increase energy, get visible results and burn more calories, even after leaving the studio — That's the Orange Effect!" says the Orangetheory Fitness website.
