Our first Lawn Concert of the Year - Jazz from Planet Flippo
The quartet plays a wide mix of jazz originals, standards and arrangements of contemporary gems.
Jazz From Planet Flippo is doing a Skokie Jazz Lawn Concert Again! We did a few during covid and had a nice turnout under the Summer skies and Fall trees. The band will give a free concert at "Flippo's Place" at 4918 Jarvis Ave. on Sunday, Sept 28th from 2:15-3:15 pm. Bring some lawn chairs if you can... We'll have a few chairs out. Modern jazz... some original but lots of my arrangements of contemporary tunes by Bowie, Radiohead, Winehouse, A.L. Webber, Soundgarden, Wonder, Hendrix, and more... Dan Hesler-saxes/flutes, Heath Chappell-drums set, Donn De Santo-bass, Dave Flippo- keys/vocals/melodica.
